I know I’ve written a lot about the arrival of “motorcycle weather” but summertime is also prime time for bicyclists. This is the season that we as angry drivers start to notice bikers breaking traffic rules, riding through congested areas, and coming out in larger groups. 52 year old Robert Hovis, of High Ridge, was killed after a car accident on Hillsboro Valley Park Road, near Dillon road in Jefferson County. 28 year old Jessica Koen, of Waterloo Illinois, died in a car accident on Wednesday, May 12th. She was driving on Route 158 near East Centreville Road in Monroe County when her car went off the road and landed into a ditch. Koen was ejected from the car after it flipped and killed immediately. She was reported to have not been wearing a seat belt.
