Two-Year-Old Aaliyah Jones Killed in Tragic Rollover Accident
According to an article posted by Fox 2 News, a two-year-old girl is dead after being hit by an SUV in North County last Friday afternoon. The toddler, Aaliyah Jones, was playing in her driveway in St. Louis County when she was hit by an SUV driven by 23-year-old. The young man was slowly backing out of his driveway and he did not see the child.
Aaliyah Jones was taken to Christian Hospital and then flown by helicopter to St. Louis Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The St. Louis County Police Sargeant said the investigation as ongoing but that no charges were anticipated. Currently it appears that what happened was “an unfortunate accident.”
My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Aaliyah Jones. It is devastating for an accident to claim the life of someone so young.
Accidents involving kids are so traumatic, it is easy to be confused and not know what to do in the aftermath. However, there are certain mistakes that are critical to avoid. It is best to get the right information before an accident even occurs so you have the best chance to be prepared. Before you speak to an attorney, insurance adjuster, or sign any forms you need to request a free copy of my consumer accident guide, “The Missouri Accident Book: Dealing with the Aftermath,” to learn what you need to know!
