St. Louis Man Killed in Head-On Collision on Interstate 70 by Driver Headed the Wrong Way

Michael Owens of St. Louis city was killed early Sunday morning in a head-on collision on Interstate 70. He was headed eastbound in his 2005 Dodge Neon when a 2009 Nissan Murano, headed the wrong way down the interstate, hit Owens head-on. The driver of the Murano was listed in critical condition but Owens was killed at the crash scene. Police and families are waiting on toxicology reports to determine if alcohol had been involved. Edwardsville National Guardsman Killed in Car Crash in Hamel, Illinois

Gabriel Patton, a member of the Illinois Army National Guard, was killed in a crash off of Illinois 157 on Saturday. He struck a culvert and, after landing on its roof, Patton’s car caught on fire. The accident occurred in the Hamel Township, just outside Edwardsville Illinois. The guardsman had been home for the holidays and was scheduled to return to finish up boot camp at Fort Leonard Wood that very day. Continue reading

Young Godfrey Man Killed in Fire after Crash with Tractor-Trailer in Alton, Illinois

19 year old Joshua Headrick was killed after colliding with a tractor-trailer early Thursday morning, as reported by the St. Louis Post-Disptach. Joshua hit the tractor-trailer when he was heading eastbound on College Ave in Alton, IL and the truck made a left turn from westbound 140. After the crash, the car caught on fire, leaving Joshua to be identified through his dental records. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Continue reading
