The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) wants you to know this special warning on the safety of 15 passenger vans:

Anyone operating or caring for a 15 passenger van must make sure that the tires are properly inflated and any other needed maintenance has been taken care of before it is driven. They should also take special care not to overload it, avoid distractions while driving

I-255 Claims the Life of a Glen Carbon Man during Rain Storm

Yesterday’s rainstorm may have been short lived, but it clearly caused damage. Hirenkumar and Bhavinkumar Patel were driving down I-255 on Sunday, June 13th, when they slid off the road and hit a guardrail. The driver, Hirenkumar Patel, was killed at the scene. Bhavinkumar Patel was not injured.

One Car Crash on Highway N Leaves Cuba, Missouri Man Dead

39 year old Shawn Baker was killed after rounding a curve on Highway N near Mine Road in Cuba, Missouri. As he was taking the curve, his 1982 Toyota Celica veered off the road and overturned partially ejecting Baker. Baker was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

One-Car Crash Kills Young Winfield Woman in Lincoln County

19 year old Sarah Goldstein was killed after the car that she was a passenger in overturned. The driver, 24 year old Mathew Locke of Moscow Mills, didn’t manage a turn on Meier Road near Old Monroe. Though neither was wearing their seat belt, Locke came away un-injured. Sarah Goldstein was pronounced dead at the scene. Young St. Louis Man Killed in Car Accident on Highway 44 near Lewis Road

A serious crash on Highway 44 near Lewis Road left one man dead and another seriously injured yesterday afternoon. 18 year old Merrill J. Woods, a passenger, was killed when the vehicle he was riding in struck a tree after going off the highway. Matthew D. Haley, who was driving the truck, suffered serious injury. According to early reports, neither Matthew Haley nor Merrill Woods had been wearing a seatbelt. There were no other cars involved in the accident. Continue reading
