Elderly Man in Disabled Vehicle Killed on I-270 in Madison County

An 89 year old man, Frank S. Anthony, was stopped in the right lane because his vehicle was disabled on I-270 on Sunday evening. Bryan Longworth, the driver of a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup, rear-ended Anthony. Longworth told police he didn’t see the car and was not able to stop in time. The crash resulted in Frank Anthony’s death. Highland Illinois Farmer Killed in Accident with Tractor

Scott Wernle, a Highland Illinois farmer, was killed when he was run over by a tractor in New Douglas, Illinois. Scott had been trying to start his tractor trailer using a screw driver. When the tractor finally started, the tractor lunged forward, running over Scott and causing him blunt chest trauma. Ultimately, his injuries led to his death. Continue reading
