An 89 year old man, Frank S. Anthony, was stopped in the right lane because his vehicle was disabled on I-270 on Sunday evening. Bryan Longworth, the driver of a 2003 Dodge Ram pickup, rear-ended Anthony. Longworth told police he didn’t see the car and was not able to stop in time. The crash resulted in Frank Anthony’s death. Scott Wernle, a Highland Illinois farmer, was killed when he was run over by a tractor in New Douglas, Illinois. Scott had been trying to start his tractor trailer using a screw driver.
